Bowls is a game that anyone can play regardless of age, gender, skill level. Did you know Mowbray has several of the country’s leading blind bowlers playing at the club?

Networking

Played in groups ranging from 2 to 8, there’s ample time to get to know your competitors and build relationships.

Healthy activity

Like golf, bowls is played outdoors all year round with more walking during a match than most would think.

Competitive action

From beginners to those that have been playing for decades, bowls is played all the way to the Commonwealth Games level.

Joining Mowbray Bowling Club

Full Member

This includes affiliation to WP Bowls and Bowls South Africa and entitles you to participate in any Club, Western Province and National competitions.

Dual Member

If you are already a member at another club you can join Mowbray as a dual member. This will allow you to represent Mowbray in different Club, WP and National events.

Social Member

Social members can take advantage of the amazing bar prices and socialise with an awesome group of people. You can also have some lessons and learn more about the sport of bowls.

For years, Mowbray Bowling Club has hosted birthday parties, bingo nights, music trivia evenings and other fundraisers.

We are also the home of Newbie Bowls - an independently run events and team building company that helps you enjoy a day out on the greens with all the assistance you need to have a care-free experience. We have packages to suit all budgets as well as catering options should you require.
